Lucky 3's

My friend Corinne tagged me so here goes...

Name 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions / collections, 3 randon / suprising facts about yourself - then tag 5 people.

3 joys:
1. Family
2. The Gospel
3. Learning

3 fears:
1. That I'll get sent to Iowa on my mission....is that a valid fear?
2. Snakes
3. Getting something jammed in my eye. (I know, I'm weird but its true)

3 goals:
1. To lose about 15-20lbs
2. To be as prepared as possible before I get to the MTC (physically, emotionally, and spiritually)
3. To spend more time with my family.

3 current obsessions/collections
1. Going on a mission for sure. Its pretty much the only thing on my mind these days.
2. Travelling
3. Facebook (Yes, I will admit I have an obsession)

3 random or surprising facts about yourself
1. When other people plan things and something goes wrong, I have a habit of thinking that if I had planned it, it would be better. (I'm a horrible person, I know)
2. To go along with the last one....I love to be in charge, but I also hate it. I hate the stress part, but I like knowing if things are going to happen or not.
3. I hate not knowing things. I like to learn about things so that I can have an opinion. I hate when I don't have confidence to speak up about a certain topic because I don't feel like I know enough about it. I guess thats why I love learning so its less likely for that to happen.

I tag: Dad, Jen, and Emily

The Guessing Game!!!!

Okay...my papers are officially IN! I should receive my call next week unless something terrible happens and its delayed. haha. Lets hope not cause I'm already really anxious and I think I might actually die if I have to wait another week. okay okay...I'm exaggerating a bit. Anyway...I want y'all to guess where I'm going and we'll see if anyone can guess correctly. I think you should guess 1 foreign and 1 stateside and we'll see in about a week who the lucky winner is. Okay...GO!

Oh yeah...my guesses are
foreign: Spain
stateside: Michigan

Quick Mission Update

So...the dentist and doctor both had cancellations so I was able to get in a lot sooner than expected. Needless to say: My papers are done. I am working on making an appointment with the Stake President, which will be the final step in submitting them. I should have my call approximately 3 weeks from when that happens. How exciting!!! I can't wait. I'm trying to stay motivated at work and school but its been really hard since all I think about now is being a missionary. :) I guess thats a good thing though. Well, thats all I got. Hope everyone's doing well!

UPDATE: Sorry, this is an update from the original update. I have my appointment! I'm meeting with the stake president on Sunday this week....so my papers should be in shortly after that. How exciting! :)

Fun Times at Temple Square

A few friends and I decided to go to temple square on sunday and take pictures of ourselves. We had tons of fun. We tried out a few different things. I also doctored up the pictures a bit on the computer. Let me know what you think! :)

Tourists! We wanted to look like all those tourists that do peace signs in every pictures. haha

This was going to be a model picture at first...and we changed it at the last minute.

The fountain by the church office building! How pretty!

I absolutely LOVE jumping pictures. We tried a billion times to get this shot with the timer and it didn't work so we finally had someone take it.

My FAVORITE shot of the day. I think it should be on a church pamphlet or something.

Its Raining...Its Pouring....

So it was raining pretty hard the other day and I was driving back from the gym thinking "I wanna play in the rain!" So I texted a few friends to see if they wanted to...and the rest is history. We went around and splashed in puddles for a while and that was a lot of fun....but then we ended up at Mueller Park Middle School where the baseball fields are and we got all muddy! It was so much fun! I want it to rain more often cause we had a blast!

Here we are...Rachel, Me, Eric, and Rondi.

Rachel and I got each other in the face a couple times...it was pretty gross

As you can see...I got it pretty bad.

Yay for Mud!!

BIG News!!

Well, I have BIG news. After years of contemplation, being called into the Bishop's office, and a whole lot of prayer...I've decided

I'M GOING ON A MISSION!!!

I couldn't be more excited. I'm still working on my papers. I have an appointment with the oral surgeon on Tuesday to discuss when I'm going to get my wisdom teeth out and an appointment with a doctor to get my physical on the 30th of June. (It's SOOO far away but its as soon as they could get me in). So I'm just hoping that I'll be able to get my papers in at the beginning of next month. I can't wait. I'm already going crazy with wonder.

This is one of the most important decisions in my life and I feel like it is completely and totally the right one. I've had many doubts about it in the past and just pushed it out of my head, but I can't push it out anymore. I have felt that it is right, and who am I to argue? I know that this is the true Gospel of Christ and I am so excited to share it with others. I know that Jesus bled and died for our sins and that we can return to our Heavenly Father through him. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that he restored the Gospel on this earth. I know that God listens and answers our prayers. He loves us and knows us each personally and individually and will lead us in the right direction if we just ask. I know that we have a Prophet on the earth this day, President Monson, who receives revelation and prophecy from God. I know that the Book of Mormon is the truest book ever written and I am so grateful to have this knowledge. I just hope and pray that I will be able to teach the people of wherever it is I end up going with the spirit and that they will have open minds and hearts to be able to feel it and know that it is true. I just know that knowledge of these truths can bring peace and joy and happiness to anyone and I hope to share that happiness with others.
