Mitt Romney Rally

So Mitt Romney came to Idaho Falls for a fund raiser and my roommate and I drove down there to go. It was fun. He only spoke for a little bit, but it was good. He's a very nice, polite man with a good heart.

He was walking around shaking hands with people and I completely missed him. I was kinda bummed about it.

This is my roommate Lenay and I at the rally. We were so excited :)

At the end I finally got to shake his hand. Lenay took this picture for me and I'm sure he would have turned and smiled if I had waited, but there were SO many people I didn't want to make him wait anymore so we just took it. After the picture...I got my handshake! He said "Thank you so much for coming."

Happy Fathers Day!

This post is for dear old dad :) Okay, so you're really not that old.

I just wanted to let you know that you are the greatest dad that anyone could ever ask for. You have always been such a great example to me and just a wonderful person all around. I love that we have so much in common that we can talk and joke about.

You've been so good at providing for our family, working hard to pay for the things we need. You've been so willing to serve this country. I am very proud of you for all you do, and I hope someday I can be as willing to serve others with the kind of heart you have.

I am very proud to have a father like you. You're simply the best! I love you very much and am so glad that we were finally able to go through the temple. Stay safe in Iraq and I'll see you when you get home!

Oh the spirit at BYU-I

So we had a spirit rally up here at school. My roommates and I decided that'd we'd be cool and run in the 50 lap relay. We thought, "It will be fun to hang out with the ward and show some school spirit." We didn't know that it was going to be freezing cold outside and rainy all day long. Sheesh. That was the worst experience I've had in a while. Blah! I only had to run 1 lap around the track...but MAN when your muscles are cold and you sprint for a lap...IT BURNS!!I was feeling the pain. Its not like I don't run very often either, I do. I just think it was the combination of being cold and then sprinting (which I never do) that did it. I suppose it was good to hang out with people from the ward and show some spirit, but it was brutal. Here is the before and after picture...In the after picture, we look like wet dogs. Wouldn't you agree? Gross.
