So my dad and I went out to the lake on base to take some pictures for fun. He just got a new camera and I think he just wanted to try out some stuff. So we headed out there around 4:30 and the sun was already starting to go down, but it did give us some beautiful light and a beautiful sunset. So here are some of the pictures I took, they're not that great, but you'll still see some of the stuff that makes Louisiana beautiful.
Okay, I tried to be creative...didn't really work out, but I thought the picture was still fun.
This was just a random tree that I thought looked kind of cool cause it had all these little balls growing on it.
This was just a little dock on the lake that we stood on to get some of the pictures.
I took this on our way back home. It was actually kinda hard to do it with the car moving, but I thought the sunset was really beautiful. The only thing I would have changed would have been to make the water tower scoot a little to the left or right so that it wasn't right in the middle, but when you're driving in a car, its kind of a one time shot thing. :)
A little dark, the sun was starting to go down.
Heres where we got the good light. Those trees in the back aren't usually that color.

Sad, but true.
So...Christmas has come and gone...and I have not taken a single picture. Sad. I have no idea why I didn't but it might have to do with the fact that Christmas just wasn't a big deal this year. We didn't do anything special, or have a big celebration or anything. We got up at like 10, and went down and opened the few presents we had, then went to go see National Treasure (which was pretty good). Christmas was good though. Its nice to be home. I'm just super excited to go to Italy next monday. I can't wait.
I decided that I'm moving in with my Nana and Papa in Bountiful for the winter semester. I'll be going there on the 21st of January, but making a trip up to Rexburg that weekend to go to the Rexburg Temple Open House. I'm pretty excited about that too, cause I've never been to an open house. But when I get back, its finding a job that will be my next adventure.
Also, my old roommate Emily is moving to the Netherlands to nanny for an LDS family there, and she will be there for a year. I randomly looked up plane tickets to Amsterdam in March, and found that they have fairly cheap flights over there...so I am DEFINITELY going to be looking into that. This would be a great adventure and probably wouldn't be much of an option any other time, so this would be a good opportunity to do some more traveling and hang out with a friend that I may not see again. I don't know though. We shall see.

Finals!!
Okay so I hate school SOO much right now. I've been super stressed this whole week studying, and working on last minute projects and homework. I'm so ready for it to be over now. I'm still unsure of what I'm doing in the winter though, which is scary to me. I hate not having a plan. I'm definitely one of those people that always has to have a plan for everything. I'm just not spontaneous. I like to know what I'm going to be doing. Lame, I know.
I just finished up the last of my in-class finals...I just need to do my take-home final for statistics and some extra credit for that class (I desperately need it). Other than that, I'm home free. I'm actually really depressed about leaving Rexburg this semester. I have like 3 friends graduating this semester, 2 next semester, 1 leaving on a mission, 2 moving to China, and 1 having a baby. I'm going to miss out on so much stuff. Summer semester is going to be quite boring if I decide to come back. None of my friends will be here anymore hardly. I'm sick of this growing up thing. Why can't things just stay the same forever? Why can't we all just have nice little houses down the street from each other and grow old together? I know, thats very unrealistic of me, but seriously...I'm going to miss a whole bunch of people. :( I'm really sad.

A week away from normal life!
Aunt Molly taught me how to make noodles. It was fun. I'm glad I had that experience. I'm finally becoming domestic! haha just kidding.
Here I am rolling the dough
.
Here we are cutting the noodles.
Finally...the finished product :)
Oh, and in case you didn't notice...I dyed my hair again. I really like it.

Weekend in Utah
So I came down to Utah this weekend to go to Liz Ford's baptism. It was sooo great. I'm so happy for her and Donny. It was very cool. I ended up spending most of my time in Provo though. My old roommates were actually planning to make a trip up to visit this weekend when I broke the news that I'd be coming down there, so I wanted to hang out with them. Here are some pictures.
This is Jessica cutting my hair.
Nice side shot of the haircut. I like it quite a lot.
Jessica, Kathy and I at California Pizza kitchen. I love these girls!

Ward Halloween Party
We had a ward Halloween party at the Bishops house. If you can't tell, I was a cowgirl. It was the easiest thing I could do cause I already had boots and a belt. I had to buy a 5 dollar hat at walmart, but I thought I got a pretty good hat. Its from the Toby Keith Collection :) This is my roommate Jamie and I.
My FHE brother's decided to be Osama and an army man. I thought it was pretty clever...and very funny.
These are my roommates Anna and Jamie. Jamie is a caddie, I'm a cowgirl, and Anna's a gangster.
This is Kenny. He works with me at Recsports, is in my ward, and my home teacher. He was a fisherman, in case you couldnt tell.
This is one of my favorite people up here. My friend Andrew! He was an efy counselor for the party :)

Recsports Retreat
So I work for Recsports on campus and we had a retreat last night. The whole thing actually made me feel really ungrateful. I had been dreading this retreat since the day I found out about it. I don't really have a lot of friends that I work with at Recsports. I mean, don't get me wrong, everyone is really nice, but I don't feel like I have any close friends in the program. So I wasn't looking forward to spending a weekend out in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of people I don't know very well. Then of course I had to have a statistics test this weekend that I pretty much had no time to study for, and I really needed to go to the lab to ask some questions, and I couldn't because of the retreat. So basically I was pretty unhappy about the whole thing.
At this retreat, we played a lot of games and got to know each other a bit better. We also had lots of lessons and discussion time. We watched a video with Elder Bednar's talk that he gave at the groundbreaking of the addition to the hart here on campus. It was about how we need to be grateful for the things we are given. One of the things he said was that when Elder Eyring was there to look around, his last stop was in the Taylor Chapel (just another building on campus) and just stood there pondering for a minute. Elder Bednar asked him what he was thinking and he said "I was thinking about how much we do for so few, and how little we do for so many." This really made me think about how ungrateful I am for the opportunity to attend this wonderful university. Here I was, dreading this retreat, when I should be grateful that I have the opportunity to go on it. This university is definitely a great place to be. The spirit is felt everywhere from church, to classes, to devotional, and study groups. I am so grateful for all the people around the world that actually pay for this campus, and essentially my education, with the sacrifice of their tithing money. Most of them will never see anything so great in their lives. I'm just sorry that they can never see what a blessing it is to me and all others that go here.
This is the whole staff and volunteers (that came to the retreat, we were missing a few).
It was Recsport's 80th anniversary so we had cake and ice cream to celebrate!
The view of the tetons from the back door of the cabin we stayed in :)
The cabin we stayed in was called "Teton Lodge" and it was so cool!

Ultimate Frisbee!!!
So I'm on an ultimate frisbee team here at school. We played the whole season and lost 1 time. The last few games we've scored from 11-15 points against other teams that scored 2-5 points. We've been doing sooo amazing. So tournaments started last week and we won our first game, then the semi-finals, then finally the Championship!!! It was so exciting. What a good night!
The whole team before the game.
Hanging out on the sidelines. I pretty much love my green shoes.
Yay for team spirit! :)
After we won our championship shirts! Our team name was "Joe for President" cause a guy on our team (Joe) is an amazing player and definitely carries the team.

Sorry, no pictures.
Well, I haven't been taking pictures lately, but I figured I should update my blog since it's been a while. School has begun and I'm already swamped. Accounting 202 is kicking my butt already. I've been seeing a tutor once a week and doing all my homework, and I'm still not doing great. Hopefully it will improve soon. Pete and I are still dating and I'm living with 3 girls that I had never met before this semester, but things are okay in the apartment. I feel kind of lonely sometimes though cause I don't have any really close friends in the apartment, and Pete works all the time, but other than that, things are okay. I'm on a softball and ultimate frisbee team this semester, and I'm having fun with that so far. Anyway... I hope all is well with everyone else. See ya later!

Vegas/California/Utah Vacation!
Pete and I landed in Vegas at about 4:45 on Tuesday the 28th of August. My parents picked us up there and we went to the hotel...this is it. We walked down the strip for a little while, and realized that Vegas is a nasty town. There was porn everywhere! We couldn't handle it anymore so we decided to go to California a day early.
Here we are in Hollywood.
My uncle John took us four-wheeling one morning... it was pretty fun. This is dad and I on the four-wheelers.
Then they took us the beach. It was beautiful! The water was a lot colder than I thought it was going to be though. But we boogie-boarded and it was a ton of fun!
This is my dad's sister Nikki and her husband John when we went out to dinner.
Then we drove back to Utah and went to the annual Fail Family Reunion. This is pete and I at the little Rodeo they planned. It was fun.
Pete and I again with cheesy smiles :)
We played the Great Dalmuti...it was a lot of fun.
Dylan and I just playing around...he's such a cute kid!

Trip to Utah
So we went down to utah for one of Pete's old companions wedding reception.
We wanted to go hiking and drove up by Sundance, but we couldn't find the trail because of all the construction :( So we turned around, and drove home. Lame.
We ate lunch with a couple of my old roommates at an Indian Restaurant in Provo. It was delicious.
Apparently he got bored on the way home while I was driving.

Why I blog...
Well, the reason I started blogging was because I figured my dad would enjoy seeing pictures of me since he wasn't around to see or talk to me about what I'd been doing. He's coming home soon, but I think I will continue blogging. Its a lot of fun to post pictures of the fun events of my life. I really enjoy looking at other peoples blogs and seeing pictures of what they've been doing so I figure they might enjoy seeing pictures of me. Now...I nominate Dad, Jen, and Emily

The Boyfriend
Okay so I just recently started dating this boy. His name is Pete Benson. He's from Orem and has 10 brothers and sisters. WOW! I kind of like him a little :) I'm coming down to utah this week, and I happened to mention to my mom that he's coming down at the end of the time I'm down there. She got all jealous that Aunt Molly was going to meet him before she got a chance to. She told me that I better send her a picture before Aunt Molly got to meet him. So I told him that my mom wanted a picture and we took a bunch tonight. We're not very photogenic but there ya go! I love you mom!
