The Boyfriend

Okay so I just recently started dating this boy. His name is Pete Benson. He's from Orem and has 10 brothers and sisters. WOW! I kind of like him a little :) I'm coming down to utah this week, and I happened to mention to my mom that he's coming down at the end of the time I'm down there. She got all jealous that Aunt Molly was going to meet him before she got a chance to. She told me that I better send her a picture before Aunt Molly got to meet him. So I told him that my mom wanted a picture and we took a bunch tonight. We're not very photogenic but there ya go! I love you mom!

Schools OUT for Summer!!!

Hurray! This semester has finally come to an end. It seems like it took FOR-EV-ER, but then again, it seems like it went by super fast! These new shorter semesters are a killer. I feel like the teachers aren't used to them, so they start out normally, then near the end of the semester, they just throw everything in and hope you get finished before the semesters over. But man, I am SO glad its over.
So I have to have a C- in Accounting 201 to go on to any of the following business classes...and this class has seriously killed me! So I really thought I wasn't going to pass. So I didn't finish my last accounting homework because I was just going to retake the class, but I received an email from my teacher today. He said "I calculated your grade and you have a D+ right now, but I don't have your Chapter 11 homework yet, so if you can do that, and email it to me, I will move your grade up to a C-. This was music to my ears! (or eyes, cause I was reading it.) I was SOOO happy that I could get that homework done and turn it in so that I don't have to retake the class. The only problem was that I hadn't done the homework yet, so I spend the whole afternoon doing it and finally got it in at about 4:50. They stop doing book buyback at 5 o'clock so I rushed up to the Manwaring Center to sell my accounting book back, and they had already closed!! So I walked up and asked if they could return my book, and the lady that was working was super nice and let me sell it back. 92 dollars later, I was a happy girl. To end this short story, schools out, I'm going to Utah for 2 weeks, and I'm very happy for it to all come to an end.

This is my friend Sam and I at the ward activity. I know, cheesy smiles.

So its been freakishly hot in Rexburg over the past few weeks. We live on the third floor too, with no air conditioning. I feel like I'm melting. I'm not even joking. Theres a lake about 20 minutes away that we've been going to almost daily now. Its not that exciting, but I've been having fun. These are some pictures of a few friends and I at the lake. Sorry, not any action shots cause I can't really bring my camera in the water. Oh and yesterday the high was 107 I believe. YUK!

Hannah and I yesterday when it was 100+ outside!

This is Emery...I just met him last week, but he's way fun. Too bad he's leaving next semester to go home to Georgia.

Mitt Romney Rally

So Mitt Romney came to Idaho Falls for a fund raiser and my roommate and I drove down there to go. It was fun. He only spoke for a little bit, but it was good. He's a very nice, polite man with a good heart.

He was walking around shaking hands with people and I completely missed him. I was kinda bummed about it.

This is my roommate Lenay and I at the rally. We were so excited :)

At the end I finally got to shake his hand. Lenay took this picture for me and I'm sure he would have turned and smiled if I had waited, but there were SO many people I didn't want to make him wait anymore so we just took it. After the picture...I got my handshake! He said "Thank you so much for coming."

Happy Fathers Day!

This post is for dear old dad :) Okay, so you're really not that old.

I just wanted to let you know that you are the greatest dad that anyone could ever ask for. You have always been such a great example to me and just a wonderful person all around. I love that we have so much in common that we can talk and joke about.

You've been so good at providing for our family, working hard to pay for the things we need. You've been so willing to serve this country. I am very proud of you for all you do, and I hope someday I can be as willing to serve others with the kind of heart you have.

I am very proud to have a father like you. You're simply the best! I love you very much and am so glad that we were finally able to go through the temple. Stay safe in Iraq and I'll see you when you get home!

Oh the spirit at BYU-I

So we had a spirit rally up here at school. My roommates and I decided that'd we'd be cool and run in the 50 lap relay. We thought, "It will be fun to hang out with the ward and show some school spirit." We didn't know that it was going to be freezing cold outside and rainy all day long. Sheesh. That was the worst experience I've had in a while. Blah! I only had to run 1 lap around the track...but MAN when your muscles are cold and you sprint for a lap...IT BURNS!!I was feeling the pain. Its not like I don't run very often either, I do. I just think it was the combination of being cold and then sprinting (which I never do) that did it. I suppose it was good to hang out with people from the ward and show some spirit, but it was brutal. Here is the before and after picture...In the after picture, we look like wet dogs. Wouldn't you agree? Gross.
